Buying Tickets

 

Tickets can be bought in person by cash or cheque only from approximately
3 weeks before the start of the show at:

           28-30 High Street
           Portishead (opposite Iceland)

 
Open 9am - 5.30pm Mon to Fri and 9am - 5.00pm Sat 
 
Please note Morgan Westley are currently unable to
take bookings over the phone.

Online and Telephone Booking

 
Online booking is available by clicking on      from three to four weeks before the start of the show.
 
Telephone Booking is also now available through Ticketsource:
  0333 666 3366   (normal rate number, same as an 01 prefix).
 

Telephone box office hours are 9am – 7pm Mon to Fri (excluding Bank Holidays) and 9am – 5pm Sat.

 
A 10% booking fee is payable directly to Ticketsource at the time of booking.

Carer's Discount - New for this Season!

 

Portishead Players is now offering discounted tickets to carers through the use of the CEA Card (Cinema Exhibitors' Association)

 

How it works

 

Upon production of a CEA card (which is held by a disabled person), Portishead Players will offer discounted tickets for the carer as follows:

Matinee – Free of charge to the carer

Evenings – Junior rate ticket (currently £8.00)

One discounted ticket per card holder will be offered for each show only.

The card holder will pay full price (currently £10.00)

The CEA Card

 

• The CEA Card is issued on behalf of the UK Cinema Association (UKCA)

• CEA Card is operated by Cinemas but is also used by theatres as proof of disability when claiming a discounted ticket for a carer.
• Disabled people can apply online or by post for the CEA card - www.ceacard.co.uk at a cost of £6.00 per card.

 

Eligibility

The applicant must be able to provide proof of receipt of a disability benefit to be eligible eg:

 

1. Disability Living Allowance (DLA);

2. Attendance Allowance (AA);

3. Blind Persons Registration;

4. Personal Independence Payment (PIP); or

5. Armed Forces Independence Payment (AFIP).

 

Discounts will only be applied when purchasing a full priced ticket and upon production of the CEA card.

 

 

Times and Venue

 

Evening performances commence at 7.30 pm - Saturday matinee performances for the musical show/pantomime start at 2.00 pm.

 
All shows take place in the Somerset Hall - above Iceland.
Entrance is in the precinct with ample car parking behind the hall accessed via Wyndham Way.


         Directions to the Somerset Hall from the M5

           M5: Junction 19

           Signs into Portishead
           Left at lights adjacent to McDonald’s (on right)
           Park in Aldi car park
           Go to far right of Aldi car park
           Walk left into precinct (Jean Mays hair and Johnson’s dry cleaners on the corners)
           Somerset Hall entrance is next to Miles Morgan travel in the precinct

The Hall now has improved facilities for disabled people and is equipped with a new lift to cater for larger wheelchairs, automatic entrance doors and a disabled toilet.
